# Using Seeds

Minecraft worlds generate randomly, you may have found a certain world that you’d like to explore, all you need is that world's seed. Seeds are specific to each world and can be used to choose a certain world generation.

Changing your world seed is easy, follow these simple steps:

1. Activate your server on the [website](https://minehut.com/dashboard/home) so you can access your server's panel
2. Stop the server - Setting your seed will require the world reset
3. Go to the **World** section of the panel found at the top of the page
4. Click the **Reset World** button and save
5. Scroll down the “World Seed” and type in the seed that you want to upload
6. Click **Save**
7. When your server starts up the new seed will be generated
